Crafted with silk instead of ink, my panda design captures lifelike charm and texture through an extraordinary embroidery technique. Led by Peng Shiping—Master of Chinese Embroidery, Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts, and Chief Weaving Artist of the Shujiang Brocade Museum—this piece employs the “Shimao Needle”, a special method invented by the master himself for panda fur embroidery.
The result? Silk hair so soft and vivid, it appears fluffy to the eye and glows with a natural halo under light. Each thread of silk is split into 32 ultra-fine strands, demanding the highest level of embroidery skill. The final composition embodies an incredible fusion of refined technique and emotional depth.
Framed with blackwood rosewood (Dalbergia melanoxylon), the artwork is elegant, dignified, and deeply collectible.
